Not this year

Unfortunately UCLA did not win the national championship game last Monday night. It can only be described as a crushing defeat, but I have moved on. It was a tough pill to swallow but what can you do? We were outplayed. I congratulate and thank the UCLA Men's Basketball team and staff for a wonderful run and a wonderful season. I greatly look forward to next year.

I actually find myself at a bit of a loss as to what to write in this space. I've gotten so excited about and so accustomed to writing about basketball that I find it difficult to come up with another subject. Part of that is, for now anyway, I don't have a whole lot to write about. It's been raining a lot here and while that certainly isn't keeping me from going outdoors (which is to say that I don't go outdoors for entirely other reasons than rain or shine,) it makes everything just a little more dreary overall. I like the rain though, just for a couple of months during the year.

Oh, I've made it into the championship game in my fantasy basketball league. By this time next week I'll know if I am a champion or a runner up. Either way though, Kobe Bryant is easily my MVP.
