Returned

I wasn't around last monday to make an entry here because I was in LA. Over that weekend a group of friends and I took a short cruise. It was fun and very "full"-filling. I didn't really want to go when they started planning it, but I did have a good time and it was a welcome break from the everyday. Though I returned exhausted and stayed weary for the rest of the week. That's the thing about vacations - usually it's more tiring than actually not taking one.

I did buy and read the new Harry Potter book. Overall, it did not dissapoint, still easy to read and enjoyable at the same time. I enjoy the earlier books though because everyone in the books were younger and it made the magic thing, well more magical. I do still look forward to the last book though, just to know how all the loose ends are tied up.

Moved!!

So once again, following in my yearly tradition, I've once again changed my place of residence. I'd love to say that it was fun, but of course it wasn't. It was a lot of hard work, and my family was awesome in helping me out. I'm thinking I probably will be moving again, even though I have only just moved in to this apartment. :)

I have boxes everywhere and by all indications I will probably have boxes everywhere for a while yet. I just don't have to motivation to go unpacking everything. In fact, I might leave all of my kitchen boxes unpacked for the whole year if possible. The one benefit of constantly moving is I don't really accumulate too much crap. Which isn't to say that I don't, because if you look through my boxes, I'm sure you'd come up with a few items of questionable functional value.

But I'm glad that I'm done with that, and I'm looking forward to settling in. I'll have to slowly get acclimated to my smaller space. I'm not sure exactly how I managed to rent this place when all of my previous apartments have been huge, relatively speaking for 1 bdrms. This one is by no means tiny, I'd say it's quite average to nice, but I'm just used to having opulence I suppose.

That's really all I have to talk about for now I guess since that's all that's been on my mind for the past few days. :)

Oh wait, I almost forgot. I played poker over the weekend (i know, it was kind of strange thing to do before a huge move,) but anyway, I had a great time. I completely kicked butt and had a couple of hands where I lost huge amounts of money (but my winnings far outstripped my losses.) So it was just a very exciting night of poker all around.
