Christmastime

In my youth I would count the days to christmas by looking at the calendar pretty much every few hours. It wasn't the most effective way to pass time and hence, christmas arrived about as quickly as continents drift. This year, and in recent years, christmas has come so fast, that last I remembered, we were all living on Pangaea.

The difference is just waiting to get gifts and now, buying gifts. Ah, how true it is that youth is wasted on the young. That's why I love Calvin and Hobbes so much, it's exactly what youth should have been.

As much shopping as I've done over the past week, I'm still not done. [shaking fist] damn you christmas... damn you... [/shaking fist]
