Rain, man.

Hope everyone has been enjoying the rain. If it hasn't been raining where you live, I hope you're enjoying it vicariously, because I'm generous like that.

[Coax Brother, Coax]
I certainly got a good helping of the rain this weekend becuase my brother suddenly decided that now was a good time to go running coax cable from outside the house, to his room. Of course, he needed me to make the correct modifications to their existing coax network so that his room could be added to it. That required me to be perched on a step-stool whose legs were rapidly sinking into the wet ground while reaching up to make the appropriate connections and disconnections, all in the rain. We eventually had to run brand new coax under the house because we discovered the existing wire that runs into his room was broken (actually, it was cut,) that is where I draw the line however. I might be willing to risk life and limb on a rickety perch while being beaten by nature's punishment but I won't go crawling around under a house. I'll do the wet work, but I don't do the dirty work. ;)

[Christmas]
I hope everyone's got their gift shopping done, Christmas is nearly upon us. I finally did finish my shopping, and I'm elated. I even wrapped them all myself, which means yes, they're ugly. But hey, do you want an ugly gift or no gift? Yeah, that's what I thought. Though to be fair, I've certainly bought myself enough gifts this month. But hey, if it's better to give than recieve, then a gift to yourself must be positively heavenly, as you're practicing both in one action. Yes, I am constantly taken by my own thoughtfulness.
